Cake #11 Layton High Graduation

This cake was for a boy in my ward graduating from High School. It was a lot of fun to make. The numbers and the 'layton lancer' disc are made from chocolate. The hat and diploma are made from fondant.

Cake #10 Pink and Green Daisy Cake

I made this cake for my daughter's second birthday. It was small since it was just for the 6 of us- but cute!

Cake #9 Mustang Cake

This cake was for my fabulous husband for his birthday. He recently bought himself a fun new pony- so I took this cake to his office to share. It was a hit! The Mustang is carved from two pound cakes baked in loaf pans. The bottom is my classic chocolate.

On Hold

Due to unforseen circumstances (moving to Utah) and space restrictions (tiny kitchen) cake a week is on hold. I'm hoping to do some cakes here and there- but I don't have the space to do them weekly right now... I'll keep sharing as I do them though.

Cake #9 Baby girl shower

This was a shower cake for a little baby girl. She wasn't supposed to be born for another five weeks but came a little early. I tried out a new technique 'painted flowers'. After piping the icing on for the flowers you wet a paint brush and brush it in to the center. I really like the look of it. Of course I also love brown and pink.

It's a white chocolate cake with white chocolate cream cheese filling and lime filling. YUM!
